Description
The Hockanum schoolhouse during a flood with water up to the floor level. Photograph was taken on Sunday, November 6, 1927. The description on the back of the photograph reads: "The water began to fall on Saturday night. Heavy rain Thursday. The rain was rising rapidly on Friday morning. At daylight Saturday it was beginning to cut through our yard. About noon the water was up to the barn floor and we got the horse and cows out and put the horse in the pasture and the cows we tethered in the hillside."
