Three white women sit in a boat, one of them sitting in the middle of the boat rowing, and the other two sitting on the end of the boat. A man is sitting in a second boat further from the shore. A boy stands on a wooden pier looking out at the two boats. Some marshes separate the water from a field with farm buildings in the middle ground.
