Description
Two barefoot white girls at a water spring. One stands with her hands on her sides while the other bends over the spring filling a pail with water. Caption reads: "This is the spring where Abraham Lincoln, when a child got the family drinking water. Their log cabin was on high ground near by. The little girls came from their home down a pasture path to the spring carrying a pail to fill. In summer the water was pleasantly cool for their bare feet, and they liked to loiter there. Among the inhabitants of the pool were numerous crawfish."
