Teacher Anna McQueston (later wife of Clifton Johnson) reaching up over the blackboard to wind the wall clock in the Hockanum schoolhouse. Three children, one boy and two girls, (one of which leans against a table) look on. Two large windows let in light on either side of the blackboard.
