Rooster's was a popular gathering place for the North Amherst community. The business closed in September of 2007, the building was razed, and the new Amherst Survival Center building was constructed on the site.
Turn of the century view of the library. The building is a small, clapboard Queen Anne style structure and was designed by Roswell F. Putnam of Leverett. Montague Road and Sunderland Road are dirt.
